I decided to capture some interesting symetrical picture when I was waiting for a friend at the MRT train station, this row of phone booth caught my eyes. I'm glad someone's using one of the public phone and is at the extreme end. I quickly captured this shot with the normal exposure.
This is the original picture, can anyone tell me if there's any way which I could set my exposure settings to obtain an effect near or similar to that of the photoshopped version?
Thanks for posting the original picture. I thibk you did a good job. I dont have an answer for your question. Looks like she is about to leave the matrix.
Thanks Ash, Roger, outdoorexposure, Shuva and Sinem for comming and commenting! I'm happy that everyone of you find this shot cool, nice, and outstanding! :)
Shuva, would you prefer her leaving or entering the image?
Sinem, to answer your question, I did softening, black and white gradient, level and curves, selected red for saturation and uses selective colour to adjust the redness, lastly, I addjusted the brightness and contrast. :)
Thanks Julien, I've got your point noted. My masking for the red here wasn't done well enuogh. Making the red vivid was the point as "red" is what I wanted to emphasis on, therefore, I had too do some slight oversaturation and make it plain. Do you have any idea how can I improve the processing to emphasis on the red and at the same time make it less disturbance to you?
Nice picture ! I like the black/red contrast . Wonder what's the lady looking at ? I noticed you use the same camera as I do and I know there's a camera-setting you can choose one colour . Will let you know later on as I don't know it by heart .
caithlin, you're a Powershot S2 user too? Hehe! I guess you are refering to "My colours" mode right? There's custom colour, colour swap, colour accent and stuff like that. I'd tried some of them. =)

good idea, but this red disturbs me, perhaps too saturated and too plain for me. It seems to be paint over ;)

Good stuff I say. If only the lady is on the second last phone booth, so as to give the composition balance.
Good shot anyways. :)
Thanks Imran!!
